Thistles are prized decorative flowers in many parts of the world. Heck, it's the national flower of Scotland.

Here... well they have a guy who goes around and leaves you a nasty note if you don't keep them cut down. Noxious weed they call them. Like most things in life I suppose it's how you look at it.
